One of the Oldest Diploma Institutes in Tamil Nadu. The idea of starting an agricultural school was conceived in 1954. It became a reality only in 1959, when the farm was equipped with sufficient infrastructures. On Feb 26,1976 the Agricultural training given in the school was recognized by the Government, as an Agricultural demonstration Maestry Course.

Advanced drip irrigation systems, along with rain gauges and sprinkler units, are strategically installed throughout the campus. Drip irrigation is exclusively employed for irrigating the cultivated fields. This expansive land serves as both a demonstration site for agricultural practices and a platform for student-led crop production initiatives, fostering experiential learning opportunities
