About SIARD
The Sagayathottam Institute of Agriculture and Rural Development (SIARD) is a pioneering institution dedicated to agricultural education, skill development, and rural empowerment. Established in 1959, SIARD stands as one of the oldest agricultural diploma institutes in Tamil Nadu, with a rich legacy of serving rural communities through education and extension activities.
Located at Sagayathottam, near Thakkolam in Ranipet District, the institute functions under the Don Bosco educational network, focusing on holistic development and capacity building of rural youth.

Academic Programmes
SIARD primarily offers:
Diploma in Agriculture
