Agriculture, the backbone of our nation, provides sustenance and drives economic growth. It is a dynamic field, constantly evolving with new technologies and approaches, offering a wide array of career opportunities. Recognizing the crucial role of agricultural education in rural development, the Salesians of Don Bosco, South India, strategically established Don Bosco College of Agriculture in Sagayathottam, a location ideally suited for this purpose, initially in the undivided Vellore district and now within Ranipet district. The Government of Tamil Nadu, acknowledging the need for agricultural advancement in the region, granted administrative approval for this new agricultural college under Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, commencing operations in the academic year 2014-15. Don Bosco College of Agriculture is committed to equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in this vital sector. We adhere to the TNAU curriculum, aligned with ICAR recommendations, ensuring our students receive a comprehensive and industry-relevant education.

Our students benefit from exceptional infrastructure, including interactive classrooms, a 250-acre farm showcasing diverse agricultural and horticultural crops, a dairy, poultry, apiculture, and goatery unit, an integrated farming system, a botanical garden, a polyhouse, well-equipped field and other laboratories, a comprehensive library, a spacious playground, indoor games facilities, yoga facilities, cultural clubs, and a robust student mentoring program. To ensure the all-around development of our students, we offer a range of extracurricular activities, including NSS, physical education, and yoga.

Our students consistently demonstrate their talents in both curricular and extracurricular activities. It is particularly noteworthy that our students excel in national-level examinations like ICAR-JRF, TNPSC, and UPSC, with increasing success each year. They have also brought us laurels in cultural and sports events, winning prizes at district, inter-collegiate, and state levels, including the CM Trophy.
