Introduction:

Horticulture involves a combination of scientific, technologic principles to enhance plant growth, improve crop yield, and contribute to the overall aesthetics of landscapes. We impart education on various specialized areas such as pomology (study of   fruits), olericulture (study of vegetables), floriculture (study of flowers and ornamental plants), and landscape horticulture.

Hands on Training:

  • Practising propagation techniques like cutting, layering, grafting and budding.
  • Herbarium collection for identification of different plant species.
  • Engaging in various activities such as cultivating vegetables, pruning fruits and maintaining botanical garden. 
  • Preparation of value added products like jam, jelly, squash, RTS, fruit bar.
