Introduction:

The Department is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Microbiology, Environmental Science and Agricultural Meteorology. It deals soil testing, fertilizer testing, soil survey, nutrient management, role of microorganisms, mass multiplication of beneficial microorganisms, pollution management, waste water treatment, solid waste management, wildlife, study of air, water, soil, global warming, climate change, and biodiversity.

Hands on Training:

  • Survey and collection of soil samples and soil testing
  • Isolation and Characterization of Different Microbes from Different Samples.
  • Bioinoculant and Biofertilizer production Techniques; Azolla and VAM production.
  • Identifying different ecosystems, assessment of biodiversity index and conducting waste to wealth technology (Composting)
  • Collection of air, water and soil sample from polluted sites and assessment of their quality parameters with reference of CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board) standards. Waste water treatment and recycling,
  • Solid wastes  handling and management
  • Recording of weather data and interpretation.
