DBCA Celebrates Hostel Day with "Bella Ciao 2026"

Don Bosco College of Agriculture (DBCA), Sagayathottam, celebrated its much-awaited Hostel Day – "Bella Ciao 2026" with great enthusiasm and festive spirit at the DBCA Boys Hostel. The event brought together students, faculty members, hostel staff, alumni, and distinguished guests for an evening of celebration, unity, and entertainment.

The programme was graced by Mr. K. Nareshkumar, B.E., PGDBA, LL.B., Former National Vice President of the CBCI Indian Catholic Youth Movement and President of the Ranipet District Congress Committee, as the Chief Guest. Mr. S. Ramesh, Proprietor of Indian Oil Bunk and RSR Wedding Hall, Lions Club member, and distinguished alumnus of Don Bosco School, attended as the Guest of Honour.

The function was presided over by Rev. Fr. Alphonse Arulanandam, SDB, Rector and Secretary, Dr. K. Sekar, Principal, and Fr. Arun Sagayaraj, Hostel Director, who appreciated the students for fostering a vibrant hostel community and encouraged them to uphold the values of discipline, leadership, and mutual respect.

A major highlight of the celebration was the vibrant cultural programme presented by students of the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 batches, who showcased their talents through spectacular dance performances, music, drama, and other cultural events. Their energetic performances captivated the audience and reflected the creativity, confidence, and teamwork nurtured at DBCA.

Addressing the gathering, the dignitaries emphasized that hostel life plays a vital role in shaping students into responsible, confident, and socially committed individuals. They encouraged the students to cherish the friendships formed during their stay at DBCA and to continue striving for excellence in academics and personal development.

The Hostel Day celebrations concluded with a vote of thanks, appreciating the dedicated efforts of the management, faculty members, hostel wardens, organizing committee, and students for making "Bella Ciao 2026" a grand success. The memorable evening truly embodied the Don Bosco spirit of fellowship, talent, and holistic development, leaving participants with cherished memories to last a lifetime.
