Don Bosco College of Agriculture and Research Institute celebrated Farmers Day (V?l?n Thiruvizha) on 12 February 2026 at 10:30 AM on the college campus. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, the Joint Director of Agriculture, in the presence of faculty members, students, and farmers. Approximately 100 farmers from Ranipet, Thiruvallur, and Kanchipuram districts participated in the event.

The primary objective of the celebration was to exhibit the students’ projects and create awareness among farmers about the latest developments and technologies in agriculture. Final-year students (2022 batch) demonstrated agricultural models developed as part of their RAWE (Rural Agricultural Work Experience) programme, showcasing practical agricultural technologies, innovative farming concepts, and field-level applications. The programme provided an opportunity for farmers to interact with students and faculty members, facilitating knowledge sharing and promoting awareness of modern agricultural practices.
